Standard AWC Page Layout
The standard FAA web page header displays across the top of each of the AWC Applicant Portal pages and the standard FAA web page footer displays across the bottom of each of the AWC Applicant Portal pages. The body of the page occupies the majority of the page, between the page’s header and footer.
My AWC Home Page
The My AWC page is the starting point, or Home page for the AWC Applicant Portal application. On initial system access, the Splash Screen (System Use and Restriction Message) displays which you must accept to gain access to the AWC Applicant Portal. You close the message by clicking Agree. Clicking “Agree” navigates you to the My AWC page. Clicking Exit terminates your access to the AWC Applicant Portal and initiates the process of closing the browser session.
Standard AWC Page Display Elements
Each page displays the system identification title bar with the text “Airworthiness Certification (AWC) - Applicant Portal”. Your (the logged user) user name displays above the system identification title bar, right justified. A Lego-man icon displays to the right of your user name. Clicking this icon opens a window showing the system and office level roles you are assigned in the application. The "Help," "User Guide" and "References links" display at the top right corner of the browser window in the FAA Header area.

Application-Level Information and Links
Each application page displays information about the application being worked. The following data is shown for the application:

Below the application data tabs display with links to the various pages in the application process, depending on the type of project being worked.
Help Link
The Online User Help is the primary resource for the AWC Applicant Portal application user procedures and reference information, and can be accessed at any point in time during the use of the AWC Applicant Portal application. To view help for the currently-displayed page, click the Help link located in the top right corner of the browser window in the FAA Header area. Clicking this link opens the Online User Help table of contents (TOC), initializing the top-level help topic specific to the current page.
User Guide Link
The User Guide link located at the top right corner of the browser window in the FAA Header area opens the AWC External Applicant User Guide which is the secondary resource for AWC Applicant Portal application user procedures and reference information.
References Link
The Reference link provides access to FAA forms, documents and web pages that contain reference information relevant to the Airworthiness Certification process.
Signout link
The Signout link logs you out of the application and takes you to the System Use Notice.
Person Icon
Your name displays in the bottom of the application header, right justified. Clicking on the Person icon next to your name displays a pop-up screen with a list of the roles assigned to you.
System Identification Title Bar
The title bar showing the application name, "Airworthiness Certification (AWC) – Applicant Portal," displays at the top of the page below the standard FAA page header.
AWC Session Expiration
After 20 minutes of the current sessions' inactivity, the system displays a message indicating that the session will time out in 5 minutes (300 seconds). Selecting "OK" re-initializes your working session. Otherwise, your working session is expired and you are redirected to the Splash Screen (System Use and Restriction Message). Click "Agree" to reinitialize your working session.
